7th Grade

Monday (9/25/06) - Today we will review and explore the writing process.
Focus Question: What is writing?

Tuesday (9/26/06) - Today we will create a writing process flipbook.

Wednesday (9/27/06) - Today students will read independently, select a quote from their reading, and make text-to-self or text-to-text connections.

Thursday (9/28/06) - Today students will monitor their comprehension using the "think aloud" strategy.

Friday (9/29/06) - Today students will identify main idea and supporting details.

8th Grade

Monday (9/25/06) - Today we will brainstorm writing topics by exploring questions for memoirists.

Tuesday (9/26/06) - Today students will begin to write a memoir.

Wednesday (9/27/06) - Today students will read independently, select a quote from their reading, and make text-to-self or text-to-text connections.

Thursday (9/28/06) - Today students will monitor their comprehension using the "think aloud" strategy.

Friday (9/29/06) - Today students will demonstrate their understanding of the "think aloud" strategy.
