Week of May 7th, 2007

There will be alot of homework this week in English. We are well into the research process and need to accomplish many things in order to show off all our hard work! Students, prepare yourself to be exceptionally "fearless learners" from this point forward. I know you can do it! :) Parents, we need all the support you can give through this process. Monday (5/7/07) -
Students will review note cards and engage in a lesson on citing sources.
Due today: Note Card handout
(Hours 1, 4, 5) Homework: 15 Note Cards (Due 5/9/07)
(Hours 2, 3): Homework: 20 Note Cards (Due 5/9/07)

Tuesday (5/8/07) -
Students will continue their research paper work, specifically focusing on writing note cards.
Reminder: All note cards are due tomorrow!
(Hours 1, 4, 5 - 15 Note Cards)
(Hours 2, 3 - 20 Note Cards)

Wednesday (5/9/07) -
Students will continue the research writing process by writing an outline for their paper.
Homework: Begin drafting the rough draft of your research paper.

Thursday (5/10/07) -
Students will complete the rough draft of their research paper.
Homework: Finish drafting the rough draft of your research paper.

Friday (5/11/07) -
Students will peer editing and conference with Mrs. Frazier about their research papers.
